Every errand you skip in Norwalk costs you something.

It costs you your independence

When the walk from the lot at Norwalk Square or the station platform gets hard, you start asking for rides. Every favor puts your plans on someone else's schedule.

It costs you your community

Classes at Cerritos College, events at the Arts and Sports Complex, visits with neighbors. Each one you skip makes the next one easier to skip.

It costs you your routine

Weekly errands turn into monthly ones, and the days start to look the same from the front window.

A scooter covers the cost

An electric mobility scooter takes the long walk out of every outing, so the errands, classes and visits come back. We'll help you choose, then arrange delivery and set-up at your home in Norwalk.

Getting around Norwalk on a scooter

A few habits make every ride easier and safer.

These are general tips, so always follow local rules and your doctor's advice.

Plan sidewalk routes
Scooter riders in California generally travel as pedestrians, so plan routes with sidewalks, curb ramps and marked crosswalks.
Know the transit rules
Norwalk's Metro C Line and Metrolink stations and local buses accommodate many mobility devices, with size and weight limits. Compact scooters fit most easily, so check current rules before you ride.
Charge on a routine
Charge overnight indoors, and top up before longer outings so you're never watching the gauge.
Be easy to see
Pathway lights and a safety flag help drivers see you at dusk, in parking lots and at driveways.
Store it well
Keep your scooter indoors or under cover, away from rain and direct sun, to protect the battery and seat.

Heavy-duty and outdoor mobility scooters

Park lawns at Holifield Park, sports fields and uneven lots can stop a standard scooter, and a larger rider on a small scooter never feels secure. Heavy-duty and outdoor scooters bring the power, tires and suspension to go with confidence.

Folding mobility scooters

Apartments and compact homes rarely have room for a scooter that doesn't fold, and folding models are often the easiest to bring on a bus or train. Folding scooters collapse in one piece and stow upright or flat.

Questions from Norwalk customers

Do you deliver mobility scooters to Norwalk?

Yes. Call us to schedule delivery to your home in Norwalk. We'll set up your scooter, show you how to drive and charge it, and arrange service after the sale.

How far is your showroom from Norwalk?

Our showroom is at 907 N. Hollywood Way in Burbank, roughly 25 miles away on I-5. The drive usually takes 35 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic.

How far can I go on one charge?

Range depends on the model, battery, terrain and rider weight. As one example, Pride lists the Victory LX Sport at up to 19.7 miles per charge. Tell us your usual trips, and we'll match a scooter to them.

Can I use a scooter to get to classes at Cerritos College?

College campuses are generally built to be accessible, but parking, charging and building access vary. Contact the college's disability services office before your first class, and we'll help you choose a scooter suited to the trip.

Should I choose 3 wheels or 4?

Three wheels usually give more legroom and a tighter turn indoors. Four wheels add stability outdoors. Pride's EZ Turn models give you four-wheel stability with a much tighter turn.

Do you offer financing, rentals or used scooters?

Yes. You can finance a new scooter, rent one by the day, week or month, or buy used at half off the regular price, subject to stock. We also buy, sell and trade.

Does Medicare cover a mobility scooter?

Some Pride scooters may qualify for Medicare coverage when medically necessary and prescribed. Coverage depends on your situation, so call us and we'll explain your options.
