Mission Viejo is beautiful, and it's built on hills. That's where walking gets hard first.
Every errand has a grade
The walk up from the parking lot, the path around the lake, the slope to a neighbor's front door. In a city of hills, short distances ask a lot of your legs.
So you start avoiding the climbs
You skip the lake loop, drive to places you used to walk and turn down plans that involve a slope. Little by little, the hills decide where you go.
The right scooter takes the hills for you
An electric mobility scooter with the right power and stability handles the grades so you don't have to. We'll help you choose, then arrange delivery and set-up at home.
What to look for in a scooter for hilly streets
Not every scooter is right for Mission Viejo's grades.
A scooter that feels fine on a flat parking lot can struggle, or feel unsettled, on a steep driveway. These are the features we look at when a customer tells us they live on a hill.
Four wheels
Four wheels add stability on slopes. Pride's EZ Turn models keep that stability without the wide turns.
More power and bigger tires
Performance models offer more than entry-level scooters: the Go Go Sport adds larger tires, and the Victory LX Sport reaches a top speed of 8 mph.
Heavy-duty construction
For larger riders or steep driveways, the Maxima's heavy-duty build and 500 lb. capacity add a margin of strength.
Suspension
Suspension, found on models like the Go Go Endurance AL+ and the Victory Platinum, smooths out rough pavement on the way up and down.
An honest recommendation
Every scooter has a rated maximum incline. Tell us about the steepest hill on your route, and we'll recommend a model rated for it.
Choose your priority
Each one leads to the Pride scooters built for it.
An afternoon at The Shops at Mission Viejo, a program at the Norman P. Murray Center or a day with family asks more of a scooter than a quick errand. A hard seat and a short battery can end the outing early. Full-size scooters add comfort, a smoother ride and more range for a city of hills.
Victory Platinum
Model SC710PLA - U1MSRP $3,599
Stiff fingers make small charging plugs a daily hassle, and bumpy slopes leave you sore.
Charge360 connects magnetically, robust suspension smooths the ride, and a convenient lever adjusts the tiller. It is made in the U.S.A. with foreign and domestic parts and includes EZ Turn technology.
Mission Viejo's steep streets, the dirt paths along Oso Creek and grassy parks can stop a standard scooter, especially under a larger rider. Heavy-duty and outdoor scooters bring the power, tires and suspension to handle them.
Maxima 3-Wheel
Model SC901MSRP $4,536
Standard scooter seats feel too narrow for you to feel secure, especially on a grade.
The Maxima 3-Wheel offers a large, deep seat and an ergonomically enhanced design, with a bariatric rating of up to 500 lbs.
Most Mission Viejo errands begin with the car, to Mission Hospital, the grocery store or lunch with friends. If lifting a scooter into the trunk is a struggle, the car goes without you. Pride's Go Go series takes apart into pieces light enough to lift and fits in most trunks.
Go Go Elite Traveller Gen 3 Platinum
Model SC443EMS - 12AHMSRP $1,921
An evening out ends after dark, and walking down a sloped parking lot to the car makes you nervous.
Front and rear pathway lights brighten your path, a modern deck gives your legs room, and the angle-adjustable tiller fits your reach. EZ Turn Technology and Charge360 magnetic charging are included.
Taking a scooter apart on a sloped driveway feels awkward.
Feather-touch disassembly separates the pieces quickly with a light touch, and EZ Turn, Charge360 and an angle-adjustable tiller make the ride easy, too.
Four wheels feel steadier on slopes, but you worry about turning around in tight spaces.
Pride's patented EZ Turn Technology gives this scooter what Pride calls the best turning radius in the industry, so four-wheel stability comes with easy turns.
Condos and homes in 55-plus communities rarely have room for a scooter that doesn't fold, and taking one apart for every trip gets tiring. Folding scooters collapse in one piece and stow upright or flat.
Go Go Super Portable
Model SC15MMSRP $3,569
Your condo has little storage, and a scooter that won't fold has nowhere to go.
The Go Go Super Portable folds to just 12 inches high without removing the seat, and Charge360 magnetic charging makes plugging in simple.
A full day of errands and visits shouldn't end early because the battery gave out.
The i-Go comes with all-day power, speed and versatility to take you there and back again. Pride classifies the i-Go as a personal vehicle, not a medical device.
Prices are Pride Mobility's MSRP as of September 2026 and may change. Call for our current price. Used scooters, when in stock, are half off the regular price.
